New additions to Alfredo's Nature-Inspired Series: "Snakes by the Tulip" and "The Waves of Life"

Alfredo Garcia's series, "Abstract Elegance", conveys the innate beauty of his natural environment. He uses decorative and spirited visual patterns and earthly tones in his art, which mirror his reactions to social situations and nature. By embracing this motif, Garcia imbues poetry and elegance into his assemblages. Garcia introduces two new additions to his series , "Snakes by the Tulip" and "The Waves of Life".  Both pieces employ a highly energetic aesthetic which corresponds with the heart of nature, while also capturing the intricate patterns of socialization.

In "Snakes by the Tulip", Garcia shows a raised contour of a tulip surrounded by maze-like spirals, embedded into the paint.  The spirals mostly reveal a rusty blue color, yet are also enriched with subtle hints of pink and green. This approach unifies the spirals with the background, which is predominantly a soft petal beige, evoking the freshness of spring.  The overall composition is charged with powerful textured strokes, which mimics the dynamic energy of nature.

Viewers may also recognize the biblical undertones in "Snakes by the Tulip". By integrating rhythmic lines, which represent serpents, a symbol of evil, Garcia makes reference to the story of Adam and Eve.  For this reason, the snakes may be interpreted as the antagonizing force within nature's beautiful organic realm.

"Waves of Life" also correspond with nature's essence, yet Garcia takes a more heavily abstract approach in this art piece.  The entire composition is composed of brisk diagonal brushstrokes, which leave texture at each edge.  This creates the impression of intense rain pore, falling thunderously downward. Moreover, the use of clay-like browns and moldy greens evoke an earthly feel that is typical among Alfredo's nature inspired art work.

Both  the "Waves of Life"  and  "Snakes by the Tulip" make a powerful and thematically consistent contribution to Garcia's Abstract Elegance series.  By appreciating these works both formally and symbolically, viewers are moved by the  these imaginative expressions of the natural world.
